In the CXL Memory portfolio
The Samsung CMM-D attaches 128 GB of DDR5 DRAM to a server over CXL 2.0 on a PCIe 5.0 x8 link, adding capacity beyond what direct DIMM channels allow. In the E3.S 2T form factor it slots into standard front-serviceable NVMe bays.
Operating systems present CXL memory as a second NUMA tier, letting in-memory databases, caching layers, and inference services expand capacity without moving to larger socket counts. CXL 2.0 support positions the module for pooled-memory architectures as switch ecosystems mature.
